Hello all...

I am in the process of moving and my new place does not really have a
good spot for my wheel inside. There is, however a large covered deck
out back where I would like to put my wheel (I have a Brent CXC.) I
would unplug it, place the pedal and cords on top of the wheel head, and
keep it covered with a tarp when not in use. Since the deck it covered,
direct rain is not a concern, however, it could blow in from the sides.
Would this be okay or is it foolish of me to consider this as an option?
What harm could come to my wheel as a result of leaving it outside? Any
advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
Ashley

Dear Ashley,
I have a Brent wheel on the balcony of our beachside Florida condo. It's
been there for a year, covered with a bar-b-que cover and exposed to an
almost constant east wind and salt, salt, salt. So far, so good. Also have
a small Cress kiln on the balcony. I truly hope you don't get any negative
feedback because there's "no room in the inn".
