CLACHRI BURNERS (did I get the spelling right?)

I have heard that whoever made the Clachri burners went out of business for
a while, then came back again. Does anyone know the truth of this? Or
the name os a parts supplier who could provide nozzles to fit such burners?

I have installed four old Clachri burners on a 16 cubic foot (total
capacity) propane downdraft test kiln. I know four burners sounds a bit
like overkill, but I want to ensure as even firing as possible (to cone
10+) and anyway, I have four burners on hand.

Does anyone out there who is more knowledgable than I (you could scarcely
be less so) know the recommended gas pressure for these burners? What
nozzle diameter would you use?

Thanks!

Mervyn,
I have burners that James Clachri designed on my 50 cu ft ddraft propane fired
kiln.
It has been going strong for 15 yrs now. James has been retired for awhile now
but
I think you could probly get in touch with him , perhaps thru Plainsman Clays.
If I 'm not mistaken ,Heritage Burners, who advertise regularly in Ceramics
Monthly
could likely provide you with the information you need as well as parts for
them.

I have 4 burners for the 50 cu ft kiln,,,,so you will have a motherlode of
power for yours ifyou get them set up well.
