Hi everyone ,
I have tried the Degussa Red Bordeaux on white stoneware, under clear glaze
, in oxidation at cone 8,but my results are a pale pink......very
disappointing results .
Degussa claims that these pigments(Orange,Yellow,Red,and,Bordeaux Red) are
stable up to 2372 F.
Has anyone tried any of these pigments and can report good results ?
TIA,
Naama in Israel

Shalom Naama:
We have used all the above Cerdec stains with consistant results in both
oxidation and reduction to cone 10.
Good luck, and l'hitraot!!

Sounds like your clear glaze is not compatible with the stain Naama. The
type of compositions that eat encapsulated cadmium stains was discussed
comprehensively on this list a couple of weeks ago. What sort of clear are
you using?
