I need some help! I did it again...swore I never would....but I made a
"pot" sculpture thing that is too big for my kiln! I need to take it to
my daughter in Denver for a gift and am leaving Dec. 17th, so I need a
place to fire it before then.

I need 22" in diameter....less than 2' high. I rigged up a shet metal
surround on a gas kiln base and fired it for 11 hours slowly but was
afraid to take it up to even 08 not knowing what my metal sides and
garbage can lid would do :~) At least we can rest assured the water is
out. I'd like to fire it to cone 5 in either elecric or gas as there is
no glaze...just oxide-stains.

Can I hire someone in Tucson to fire it the rest of the way to cone
5?....Please?

Hi Joanne,

I teach pottery classes in Tucson and send my students too MARY JANES at 8060
East 22nd ST. Their phone number is 886-4611. I'm not sure what size kiln
they use, but most commercial stores use large kilns. If they can't help
you, give me a call (575-0710) I have a large kiln at home it will fit in.
