Dear Clayarters old and new,
whenever I teach any of my people the art of throwing on the wheel I always
stress NOT to think or try to centre the clay. Too much effort, fear, energy
(wasted) and the like are put into this part of throwing. I am not =
advocating
excentric pots, just the approach. Take away this stigma, and the problems
disappear. The most important thing about throwing is to be relaxed, not =
uptight
if you are going to centre the clay...... of course you are if you are =
relaxed
and use your positioning correctly. The only way the clay can go is in the
centre. Don't try and do it just do it. Stay loose.
Happy potting Marek http://www.moley.uk.com
