Hi Arlene,
Do you have a green recipe that does have a blue haze?? That sounds
interesting! Care to share?
Chris

Arlene,
I find Tony Hansen's 5x5 recipe works well with 4% copper carbonate to make
a medium forest green at a relatively fast ^5-6. If you soak it, it's going
to thin out to a nice, dark apple green. I've had vinegar sitting in this
glaze for days with no apparent difference in color, but if you mean to use
it in production, it's a good idea to have it leach tested, especially if
you decide to add more copper for darker color. My market prefers blue,
blue, blue, so I only use it on the odd personal piece.
Here it is, in case you don't already have it:
20 Silica
20 EPK
20 Custer Spar (other spars will work)
20 3134
20 Wollastonite
Add 4% copper carbonate
Sieve well--the wollastonite makes unattractive lumps and bumps otherwise,
and, besides, you need to get that copper well mixed in.

Dear Arlene
Here is a cone 5 dark green that I use on a dark brown clay.
Gertsley Borate 49
Flint 32
EPK Kaolin 19
Total 100
Chrome 2
Cobalt Oxide 1
Soda Ash o.3
I also add CMC to my glazes.
It is pretty simple and works at cone 6 but seems nicer at cone 5. Hope it
works for you. It is really an old formula that I got years ago, so I don't
take any credit for it.
