porcelain clay, unglazed

I use a clay I get from ClayArt Center in Tacoma, WA. Their address and 800#
is in their ad in CM. The clay I currently use in as cone 6, called MAC 6.
A mid range porcelain type clay I like a lot. Nice feel, stable, smooth when
bisqued. Call them and see what they would suggest for something similar in
a higher fire oxidation firing clay body. Or try a bag or two of this. You
might like it, too.

Hi,

I've used Mac 6; it's nice. But if you still need a couple (or 10) extra
pulls to get your pot right, I recommend Rainer (C 4-6) which I also get
from Clay Art. It is more expensive, but holds up better under my abuse.
Joan in balmy Alaska where the Time & Temperature recording this morning
told me it was 42 degrees with a forecasted high in the 30's. Go figure.
