Unfortunately time got away with the holidays! So, is it possible to pit
fire greenware? And if so, will a pot started today be ready for New Year's
Eve firing in the greenware stage? And if so, should it be burnished to
achieve nice results? And if not, I will be bummed in Michigan.

Yes it can but you have to increase the temperature very slowly. You have to be
able to control the heat ....I wouldn't try it if on a piece you have specific
plans for.
