A kiln wash which has been used with success for salt glazing with silicon
carbide shelves down here is Zircon Silicate 80..Kaolin 20. I understand =
that a
good covering of this solves the =22foam=22 problem to a major degree. =
.reference
Barry Brickell..a sound source of info on firing, salting, and most basic
potting ....I have used zircon..Alumina..Kaolin wash for gas firing for
years...very stable.
Best wishes to all the potters for 2000
