Thanks for the warning Sylvia and whoever send the previous one out.
Email spread viruses are a real danger. However, I feel that I have to
clarify something.
The Clayart discussion list is STRICTLY text based, attachments cannot
be made to messages coming to you from the Clayart list. It's impossible
because it's just not a feature of the software.
They CAN come to you if a Clayart subscriber responds to you privately
or if the virus gets your address from their address book and sends
message to you (clever little bastarts!)
Sylvia's advice is good, never open up an unexpected attachment, .exe or
otherwise, also, keep your antivirus software up to date, keep backups
and keep yourself informed. There are some really good sites for this;
www.datafellows.com, www.nai.com, etc. The support site for your virus
software is also a good source.
Practice safe, sensible computing.
