We are almost ready for our New Years sawdust firing and the pieces of work
are trickling in every day. I think we have close to 200 pieces of work to
go in the kiln. I have my grandchildren home for the Christmas holidays and
they are throwing on the wheel as I speak. We are talking quick drying here
to get them bisqued before New Years Eve. Bertine brought in 3 masks for the
firing and they are awesome. There is a wonderful variety of work from
handbuilding, sculptures, and wheel-thrown pots. It is going to be exciting
to see them all come out of the kiln in the new year. Our local newspaper
took pictures and ran an article last week and is going to do a follow-up
after they are unloaded. We are going to take pictures and I may get them on
my son's web site to show off in the New Year. Happy Holidays to all and a
safe New Millennium.
