Jim,
I will be putting some work in the Peters Valley anagama kiln too.
I feel the same way you do but I'm going with decorative and sculptural
work. I want the ash to glaze the surface for me. I carve and sculpt
patterns into my work and I'm anxious to see what my work will look like
when it comes out of the kiln. Nothing new there eh? Maybe I'll see
you up there, I'll be the guy shooting baskets in between my shifts at
the stoking ports. Mike

It will be quite a crowd at Peters Valley. I'm also looking for suggestions
regarding oxides. I'm just doing some of my regular functional forms and
letting the ash glaze them, for the most part. I'm making a little
stoneware and a little porcelain.

I wish I could stay for the whole firing but I have a 2 1/2 year old. I'll
be the red haired gal there during the daytime saying "what have I
missed!!" I'm really excited.

....Lois
