I am looking for a newsgroup suitable for a newbie age 9, who is interested in t
hand at pottery. She has the mechanical knack, enjoys working at my forge, and d
seem put off by the thought of having to build a potters wheel. In looking throu
site at potters.org I arrived here. She will be posting herself and looking for
guidance. If this is not the place, any suggestions would be appreciated. Please

Mike,
You could not have found a better place for your daughter to hang out. This
is an extremely supportive list, with newbies and seasoned veterans, is a
safe place for a nine year old, many members homeschool, and plenty of us
have built wheels and every other contraption needed for clay work.
Sincerely,
Nikki Simmons

As a homeschooler myself, I will try to help in any way I might be able to,
Tasha

It would be good for the rest of us to remember that some of the people that
participate in this forum, are not always old, crusty adults.
