Hi all,
After trying for several months to find my perfect glaze, I'm going
to ask help!
Ten years ago ,I was using this beige-grey glaze. Cone 8 (oxidation),
was matt but at cone 9 give me more shine and blue color mix. Was very nice
and was a good seller. I use this glaze maybe for seven, eight years and
decide to make some change. I change the beige-brown clay, cone 8-9 ox., to
a white stoneware cone 6 ox. And all the glaze recipes had to change to.
Now , I still have costumer who are asking for those pots, and I wish
myself, I could do something similar to my old glaze at a cone 6 and with a
white clay. So I want to ask you if someone have, in there glaze recipes
files a glaze ,cone 6 ox ,food safe, reliable and steady results because it
would be use also for dinner ware, beige -Brown to gray , semi-matt , and
not to expensive to produce. My old recipe is :

Beige no.1 8-9 ox

Feldspar G-200 or custer ? 41
Gersly Borax 12
Dolomite 7
Talc 15
E.P.K. 5
Silica 20

R.I.O. 2%
Rutile 5%

If someone is interested in trying it and need more info about it, just
e-mail me your questions!
Thank you for reading and hope you find something for me!

Monique,

It sometimes is possible to directly substitute Nepheline Syenite for the
custer or G-200 in your formula. Good luck.
