I understand NC has a clay conference coming up. Does anyone have dates,
contact person, presenters, location, etc?

NC Potters Conference: March 3, 4, & 5 in Asheboro, NC
Registrations will be accepted during January and February. The
program this year centers on the hand built work of the potters of
Mata Ortiz, Mexico. Hector and Graciela Gallegos will
demonstrate their method of creating vessels, painting them and
firing them. A translator will accompany them. Three scholars will
speak about the potters of Mata Ortiz: Walter Parks, Spencer
MacCallum, and Dr. Richard O'Connor. All three men have been
instrumental in the discovery and promotion of the Mata Ortiz style.
In addition, four NC potters will show slides: Carol Gentithes,
Seagrove: Ursula Goebels-Ellis, Durham; Mark Burleson, Asheville;
and Chrissie Vallejas, of Vilas. For further information please
