For those in the Toronto area, that may be looking for either a new home to =
move
to a home you need to sell, I am not only a potter, but a realtor. Like =
many
stories I have heard... Several years ago while preparing for a Xmas one =
woman
show at the GARDINER museum I realised that I was quickly becoming a hermit =
-
(and kind of liked it) I spent long hours in my studio accompanied then by =
peter
Szoski, and Vicki Gabareau along with all the other members of CBC radio one=
-
and not very much other contact with people. I would see the odd
courier/delivery person and then, once a year at a retail show I would do, I
would again... come out from the studio and see light. I ongoingly would =
call
home to say... HONEY... could you manage the dogs again tonight, I am going=
to
be firing through till the morning so... I will see you tomorrow sometime. =
And
that would go for days at time. Far too often given that at that time I was
renting my home and had my studio 45 minutes from my home. One day I =
realised
that I was losing the desire to be a social being and all I had to discuss =
with
friends and family was what I heard on the CBC that day. ( is this familiar =
at
all?) At any rate, I decided quite spontaneously to add some balance to my
life. I became a realtor in the Toronto area and find it a wonderful =
balance
for me. I have studio time and home time. Being a potter I am familiar =
with
what works in a home for those who wish to set up home studios. I should
probably stop about here, and get back to some pottery discussion - However,=
I
know that If I were needing to sell my home or purchase another one, I sure
would appreciate knowing someone who at their core... was a potter - someone=
who
was real and grounded. If you have any real estate questions, I would be =
happy
to help you out in anyway that I can. If you should have any friends who =
you
know might require the services of a realtor - I'd be happy to consider the
referral of any potter - I love our community and respect those who touch =
clay.
