i have a few questions about majolica

I have been painting bisque dishware and tiles for a few years now using
transparent and opaque underglazes and would like to incorporate the
majolica technique. I will be using a white slipcast clay body fired to a
cone 04.
I have a few questions:

Can I use a white gloss or satin glaze instead of the traditional majolica
tin glaze?

Will I still get a watercolor like effect with this?

I want to be quite detailed in my designs, so I have read that you start w/
the foreground and work your way back. start w/ light colors then med. and
dark. The designs will be waxed resist as I go along. When I line the
designs w/ black do I do this at the very end of each design completed
before wax resisting?, or, can I scribe through the final piece to the
original white glaze. Then paint over scribed areas w/ my black pigment
and blotting clean? Would I get a jagged line by scribing?

Will Duncan E-Z strokes work well with this since they are almost all
pigment?

I hope I have'nt sounded too off the wall with these questions!

Thank you in advance for any and all replies. :} tj51358@aol.com
