hi all!

does anyone know a glaze, called "turner's beauty"? shannon nelson, a potter
in fl used this glaze for her tea pot in a book, "best of pottery 2." it's
yellow and for cone 10 reduction...i think. however, this glaze was from her
fellow classmates and she never got the recipe of this glaze. does anyone
have this glaze recipe?

t

p.s. i'm still here. i'm moving back to japan in march for sure.

Turner's Beauty (from an older issue of Ceramics Monthly)

Custer Feldspar 30
Spodumene 20
Dolomite 22
Whiting 2
EPK Kaolin 20
Tin Oxide 6

Notes: Likes plenty of reduction, beautiful color, looks best on light
clay bodies, but is insufficiently durable for dinnerware on some clay
bodies.

Here's a recipe that I have for Turner's Beauty Glaze - I can't
remember where I got it from but I tried it a couple of years ago and
it was yellow like you described.

Turner's Beauty Glaze - Cone 10 reduction

Dolomite 22
Spodumene 20
Tin Oxide 6
Whiting 2
G200 30
EPK 20
