I went to college when in my late 30's specifically for pottery training.
Had what used to be an EXCELLENT prof. Unfortunately he wasn't when I was
there. He had vast knowledge but was past wanting to teach. BUT I had a
great college experience. I learned a different way to think AND the skills
to make a living in a way I love.
As to whether to go for a degree, I'd say look at what you want from the
education and go for what you need for your path. I agree with Vince here.
If you are open to learning, higher education is never wasted. You may
even find a thirst for knowing about directions you didn't know existed.
