Does $200.00 seem like a good price for a used motorized Pacific
kickwheel in excellent condition? I am new to throwing and have given
up on trying to find a used electric wheel and I have been told that a
motorized one is just as good as an electric wheel. Any thoughts?

Dear Rachael,
I have never used a Pacifica wheel but I do have a motorized Randall
kick wheel which will be 40 years old in May. I also have a Brent
electric wheel. I use the Randall for most of my throwing and decorating
and the Brent for trimming with a Giffen Grip. If I only had one wheel
I would choose the Randall because it is so versatile. After all you
can turn a kick wheel in both directions which often is needful when
you are slip decorating. I also think that $200 is a very good price and
I would grab it if I were you. Just remember that a kick wheel will take
up more space than an electric wheel.
