Hi all
I am posting on behalf of a friend who is doing some experiments with =
cement
fondue and would be most grateful for any recipes that you might have.
He is hoping to cast it in a similar way to plaster and would like to =
get as
white a finish as possible. the only cement fondue he can find for sale, =
from a
sculpture suppliers, is a rather yucky brown.

I never heard of cement fondue before, but here in backward Thailand you can
buy sacks of white cement, for about twice the price of grey cement. One
part cement plus 3 parts light colored sand yields white concrete. If that's
of any help.

Ronan,
Brown or dark grey is what you get from cement fondue, its the nature of the
beast. There are some rather beautiful white cements available from Japan.
Onoda is a name that springs to mind. I remember experimenting with this in
the '70s before turning to real ceramics.
