Hello all
Some of you may remember that last year about this time I asked for help
in finding a place to work on clay in the Richland, Wa. area. It turned
out that there really wasn't any, the Columbia Basin community college
wanted $700 per session for a non-resident and there were no other
opportunities that our correspondents could identify. It did eventually
turn out that the art teacher at Kennewick HS started doing a
one-day-a-week low fire program that satisfied some of that clay
craving.
This year it is the Burlington, Kansas. I am going to Wolf Creek
Nuclear Power Plant for a contract assignment and am interested in any
clay leads in the area. this could include Ottawa, Emporia, Topeka, or
Lawrence. It is even possible that a good clay situation could alter my
living plans, ie living farther from work to be closer to my hobby.
In any event, any local knowledge will be appreciated.
You could respond off-list as this subject is probably not high on the
interest spectrum for other ocrrespondents.
Thank You,
Joseph Herbert
