Second that...

I have not read the original post, and will not, as I am sure it will not
brighten my day. Not that Steven needs any testament to what sort of =
wonderful
person he is, but I wanted to underline Jonathan's sentiments.
Even if I had never met him or corresponded with him other than on the list,
I cannot see in any way that Steven has other notions than to help other
potters.
Additionally he does not self promote himself or his books. On the =
contrary,
he is absolutely generous with his knowledge and gives incredibly useful
facts and information as readily as anyone could ever expect.

This past summer I had the pleasure to meet Steven and his family while
they stopped over in a town nearby on a =22spinning=22 tour of Denmark.
He is a totally cool guy and really genuine and just plain nice.
I am happy that I have made his aquaintance. Because he is so
down to earth, in the short time since I have met him (as friendships go)
I dare to call him my friend.

If we can start to pick on Steven for being self promoting, well, than
I would say Sister Theresa did her life's work to get a cover story in
Time magazine.

Back to reality.
Alisa in Denmark
Rakuing and opening a shop,
with many good, useful and solid
information from Steven.

Unpaid for and unsolicitated.

So, if you think differently, you are reading something in between the
lines that just is not there.

Anyone who finds the many postings from Steve that is in any way anything
but informative, kind, giving and sharing hasn't a clue about not only how
to read but how generous Steve is.

Sure Steve owns a bookstore with the best selection of pottery related
books, but he has never used this form as a platform for pushing his
agenda.

This man, aside from being a friend, has served this list and the pottery
community in general unselfishly and generously for many years. His own
authored books have provided a wealth of information for beginners and
professionals alike.

Anyone who thinks otherwise just doesn't get it or has too much free time
on their hands.
