Yesterday, I went to the Georgia O'Keeffe exhibit at the Palace of the
Legion of Honor in San Francisco. As part of the exhibit, they showed an
anonymous photograph of her art classroom/studio at West Texas State
Teachers College, Canyon, Texas. This photograph was taken around 1916.
On one table were a grouping of pots of great simplicity and beauty. To
see such strong work from an anonymous potter is a challange to everything
that I do.
