Dear Clayart,
In reading over the receipes for this glaze that I want to try in my next =
test
pile,
I see a small descrepancy on the add. of colorants.

Lori writes up the reciepe with an addition of
cobalt ox. 1.0 and says she uses colbalt carb. at 2.0

Monica Duclos writes the recipe as she has it from Claytimes
and lists the addition of colbalt carb. at 1.0.

Would there be a big difference in the intensity of the blue from 1.0 to 2.0
colb. carb?
I usually use ox. but have colb. carb. on hand. Can one usually double the
amount
of colb. carb. to that of colb. ox. to achieve closely the same intensity?
I am more concerned about over saturation than actual shade of blue,
as I have had too dark to bubbling with too heavy a hand in the colb. ox. =
jar.
I recently
brushed colb. carb. on bisque ware, and was surprised by the intensity
of blue a very weak colb. carb. wash actually gave in the final firing.

I was planning on using colbalt oxide at 1.0.

Best regards,
