I am lying on my chaise lounge in a pink maribou trimmed negligee, eating
chocolate bonbons and reading French novels.
I don't want to go to NSECA and mix with all those scruffy clay covered
people.
I am well adjusted and prefer spend my time in clean nontactile
activities.
I am not jealous of all those people in the Clayart room.

Elca--
Don't feel bad....I didn't go either, but there's always next year. And
eating chocolate is hardly a "nontactile" activity! You can't fool me, you are
a sensuous older woman.......

Elca: My sentiments, exactly!! I wanted so much to go there, even had a place
to stay and they would have provided my transportation. I thought that having
to remodel a bathroom was expense enough(keeping the thing from dropping to
the floor below with a bad leak that had occurred under the shower stall) but
other things happened. My husband went into congestive heart failure and has
had a by-pass. My 7 yr old granddaughter, that had the malignant brain tumor
last fall, is back in the hospital in another city--and I can't go there
either. I need to supply pots for an exhibit and will take what I have, since
there has been no time to finish all the things I had started. It is
necessary, right now, to focus on the important stuff and get them all
healthy. Life is hard but we are blessed with wonderful doctors and
hospitals to treat all these things. It is not too long ago, that we did not
have MRI's, radiation, open heart surgery, chemo, angiograms etc--so the
blessings are there to be counted. I will be missing the April Functional
Clay Workshop in Wooster,Ohio(Richard Burkett is one of the presenters) but I
will look forward to Charlotte in a year.

Needless to say, I am waaaaaaay behind in reading email, so grab some time
when I can and read about NCECA. I am just now, caught up to the 22nd.
