Hi everyone,

We're thinking of driving down to western North Carolina sometime this
spring. Can you recommend any wood-fire, salt-fire, or interesting
reduction potters that we should visit? We very much like the work of Suze
Lindsay, Terry Gess, and Ruggles and Rankin.

Locations, web sites, information sources, and any other pertinent
information that would help us plan our trip would be greatly appreciated.

Also, we'd like to visit when there are pots available, so what would be the
best timing? Do most potters' spring sales happen around the same time?
We're figuring that we'd have to visit at that time or before then if we
want to find some nice pots.

Thanks in advance.

Can't help with studios but recommend you visit the Folk Art Center in
Asheville off the Blue Ridge Parkway and New Morning Gallery in the
Biltmore Village in Asheville. You'll find some very exciting work in both
places and info on locating potters through the folk art center. Great
area.
