How can you describe it? TOOL DOCTORS was a HUGE success! For those who
could not attend - I fear you missed something special. Thanks to the
support of the members of CLAYART - the program was well attended (no one was
prepared for the crowds). And the artist - W O W - what a great group of guys
! Unfortunately, Lana Wilson had to cancel due to her husband's poor health.

Does Vince know equipment or what? He showed world-wide tricks-of-the-trade
& equipment that I have simply walked past at Sears...I wonder if my husband
is ready to put up another garage for me? He was most generous in bringing
samples & thought he had enough handouts when he printed 1000 - NOT ! The
guy was surrounded by questions & interested people, six deep at his
demonstration table.

Jack Troy is a national treasure! He had dozens of people up there making
deer-tail brushes ... someone told me the cost of those things retail & I
almost choked ! The table skirt was a total loss when it was all over, but
people were grinning holding the little bit of fur they molded from those
'shed' deer-tails - definately worth it. A women came up to me & said she
was looking forward to her husband going off for deer season this fall ...
something about collecting brush material.

And David Hendley - I cannot say enough good things about David Hendley. His
work took everyone's breath away. He presented his own "trash-to-treasure"
slide presentation & now we are all ready for a field-trip to the junk yard.
The guy is just TOO modest. David really creates & I mean from the ground
up. He makes it all sound so simple, but clearly he puts his heart into each
cup from the studio.

Well, I just wanted to drop a line & give CLAYART a big pat on the back for
another success story. It was AWESOME ! A great deal of fun ... and I don't
want to hear horror stories about any potter loosing fingers because they now
think they are ready to operate heavy equipment ! (start with the sandpaper,
please)

That's putting it mildly! There was an enormous crowd,
I don't believe there was a bigger one at any presentation,
and all three presenters did jointly and individually a terrific job.

And a big thanks to Vicki for all her work getting it together.
