Yes to both of the above. In the graphic design and printing industry, the
colors are known as "CC Red," and "Big Blue," respectively.
Other large corporations have "designer" colors. "BOA (Bank Of America)
Blue," for instance. BOA Blue is now a public domain color.
I'm certain there are other instances--Multi-billion dollar companies often
hire a color consultant to mix a color for them, to be used exclusively for
that company's advertizing, or product identification.
