Yes, Alisa, I have the same problem, but it didn t take me quite as long to
figure out. I guess I don t have as much patience as you do! You do have to
press down and slide the smaller ,front part out at the same time. Sometimes
I think clay slip and goo gets into the connection area, and sort of glues
it together, so I have to almost pry the two sections apart, or hit on the
smaller pan section to break up the dried clay stuck in there, but I ve
never had any leakage. I do throw very dry now after all these years,
however.
Interesting what we learn after such a long time using something, isn t it?
I do love my wheel, except for the chirping at very low speeds, which I read
how to correct right here on the List using paraffin on the belt, an old
airplane electrician s trick, apparently.
