Hello ClayArt =21
I am still looking for any assistance on information concerning glazes that
=22break=22 on edges, relief, scratches. etc. Examples of such properties =
may be or
tenmoku or similar glazes with high color saturation or ???? We are working=
on
a university project where students study specific glaze properties and =
explore
the causes. Any information, references, article information, recipies, or
personal accounts of experience would help the students. I know there are
thousands of hours of experience out there somwhere. It is eventually hoped
that the information gained from experimentation and chemcial analysis can =
be
published. We have also compiled a library of glaze formulas that we hope =
to
eventually put on th web for all to use (all creators/authors are =
referenced).
Thank You

I am a fan of rutile (or the purer titanium dioxide without iron) in
glazes. Lots of texture going on, crystal forming and breaking to add
interest to a glaze surface depending on the recipe.
CNC in Glens Falls, New York where it is snowing at the moment. Oh, the
delights of living in a climate with such variety!
