Hi All!

I guess this book has been out a while, but I never saw it until I was
surfing around at Amazon.com the other evening. It's "Extruded Ceramics" by
Diana Pancioli. It's from Lark Books, who seem to always to a great job of
presenting interesting work and ways to work. The book has very nice color
plates, and also a very good series of sections on technical matters,
including an overview of extruder types and on making dies. In the back of
the book there are a series of pages with die patterns you can enlarge to
use to make your own dies. Pretty neat stuff.

I thought I might have spied several of our compatriots from Clayart in its
pages, too. I especially remember getting a glimpse of Paul Lewing's work.
My students are already prowling through it and trying out some new ideas.
And of course it's always nice to have a new clay book.

Erin.
