slab roller not equal to tile maker

I have a very large slab roller that I am
keeping, btw, but I have a comment on what
Morris said in their post.

I have about a million uses for my slab roller,
including as an assembly surface for when I am
putting a lot of things together, the bed makes
a nice extra canvas table (brent model, OLD)

and to make quick beginning clay canvases for
kids to mar and mark in

and to make production runs of various
handbuilt bottles and jars

I won't list them all, but you get it...

On the other hand, I rarely use it to make tile.

For tile, I use an extruder because the higher
pressure makes better tile. And for free form
slab tiles that I paint on, I throw them across
a table, because the slab roller is too even.
And for anything highly decorated with relief,
I press them out from plaster molds.

So it truly is a SLAB roller, not a tile maker.

If you are thinking it will save your arms
from the tile work, you may be in for a
dissappointment.
