I may soon have the opportunity to buy a used shimpo pug mill a school is
selling. Any advise on if these are decent machines or on the wisdom of
purchasing something once used in a school. I'd think they'd be very hard =
on
equipment. Also any comments as to a reasonable price would be appreciated.=
TIA

I am considering the purchace of the Shimpo with the add a vac feature. It
is Model # PM-071. The archives have tons of information on other machines.
The bigest criticism of this machine seems to be the size of the hopper. Do
you realy have to turn the machine off every time the 4" hopper is empty. I
do not curently mix my own clay, but if that is what it takes to be a real
potter, I need to plan for that in my future. This is for a small single
user that has been around machinery all my life. Any other considerations.
Thanks
