PRODUCTION DESIGN WORKSHOP
in Beaufort, NC.

One client group per session will be enrolled.
This means that you and someone else working
with you on the same product line or type may
participate.

I have 12 years experience in Production Design
work including both production functional ware
and also production art lines. I have a BA in
Art and Design from the Design School at NC
State University and have designed product for
several potteries as well as my own. A resume
is available on request.

I have a proven track record in helping other
potters become more efficient and productive
without sacrificing their own styles and work
habits. References available on request.

I am interested in helping you work out the
kinks that stop you from being able to generate
at the level you choose. This is very
individual work and all information will be
kept confidential to ensure your privacy. A
privacy contract is available for your
protection.

Instructor: Elizabeth Priddy

Objective: to evaluate and streamline the
production process of your line of work to
facilitate better cost management and greater
product output. This workshop is not intended
to redesign you product line, although some
product design may be covered if it is integral
to the greater goal of designing a work process
that will make you more productive and
efficient.

Topics available: production throwing,
hand building, tile work, equipment
use, facilities management, brush painting,
surface decoration, materials use.

Equipment available: electric wheels, kick
wheel, slab roller, wall mounted extruder, all
other typical studio equipment including Giffen
Grip and tile-bat system

What to bring: examples of your work and a
portfolio showing the product line you are
currently generating.

Time: to be determined by interested participants. Beaufort is part of North
Carolina's Crystal Coast and the workshop
might be integrated into a trip to the area,
which is worth visiting in its own right.

Cost: $100 per day per participant,
minimum of two days, maximum of 4 days

Lodging: to be arranged by participants. See
