little econo test kiln - not too tiny

Diane - My test kiln is an Olympic "doll kiln." The interior measurements
are 9" deep, 11" long x 6" wide (oval). This is the largest kiln I could
find which reaches cone 10 and runs on household current (110 volts)
(although I fondly recall an old 18" deep Norman kiln in the first studio I
studied in, which had two 110 plugs - can't recall how hot it fired). If
you're willing to use 240 volts, your size options increase greatly - For
small loads and lots of tests I use a J18 econo kiln that just can't be
beat.
