Hello Everyone,
I am mostly a lurker here, but would like to express my appreciation to=
all
who contribute, as I have learned so much in the few months I have been
monitoring the list.
I am leaving my current teaching position (to embark on a new career in
interior design), but would like to help the director of the school find a
replacement. So here's the info:

Where: The DuCret School of Art, in Plainfield, New Jersey
--a three year post-secondary school for artists

When: Tuesdays, 9am-12pm (advanced class)=3B 1pm-4pm (beginning class)

Responsibilities: --teaching beginning and advanced students ceramics. =
Usually
about 5 advanced students and 10-15 beginning students.
--Running and maintaining the studio. I am the only
person in the ceramics department (it is a small school, about 100 =
students). I
have always been paid for extra hours worked to organize and maintain the
studio.

Studio: Two electric kilns, one jewler's sized test kiln. Both kilns are
vented.
Glaze mixing room, fully stocked. I have developed a body of =
studio
glazes and slips, all formulas are in a glaze book.
One small electric wheel, six kickwheels.
Slab roller, wedging tables, recycling area.
Three large work tables, two covered in canvas.
All clay is purchased through NY/NJ Ceramic Supply.

Requirements: All the teachers at the school are working artists. Since it=
is
not at the college level, no master's degree or teaching certificate is
required.

School generally begins in the end of August or beginning of September and
classes run until May. There is a possibility of additional =
evening/Saturday
classes as well as summer workshops (this summer), if interested.

Contact: If you are interested, or know anyone who is, you can contact the
director of the school, Frank Falotico, at (908) 757-7171.
