where to study in nyc?

Hello, all...here's the scoop:

I have been learning to throw at Annie's Mud Pie Shop in Cincinnati for eight
months. It's a huge studio which offers classes and space rental, resulting
in a great mix of experience levels. There is always much to learn just by
observing. I love the community it offers and it's relatively inexpensive.
BUT, alas, I'm moving to New York City in June (I'm an actress as well) and
am loathe to leave my new found passion. Any suggestions about CLASSES,
STUDIO SPACES, APPRENTICESHIPS, INTERNSHIPS OR EVEN JOBS IN NEW YORK CITY? I
am at a loss and know nothing about New York. I'd hate to loose my learning
momentum...(Incidentally, I'll be needing leads on an apartment sublet as
well, but I would consider curling up in a particularily spacious kilm...)
Thanks for any and all suggestions!

PS> I am a student of Shiatsu, a form of Japanese massage/accupressure. I
would certainly consider a trade of services (ie: instruction, or space, for
shiatsu sessions)
