I have an old Mac I run Insight 4 glaze program on , but have not had success
using Insight 5 on the old Mac or any other Mac. I'm shopping for a new
computer and would like to stay with Mac. Has anyone had any experience
running Insight 5 on a Mac using Virtual PC? Or any other solutions?

I use virtual PC for lots of other software, it works like a charm. I
can't see why it wouldn't work for you with Insight.

I don't mean to be speaking for Ron Roy, I'm sure he'll respond as well, but
Ron teaches his Glaze Technology course using INSIGHT 5.0 (now 5.5) on his
MAC using Virtual PC. I use INSIGHT on the PC and didn't see any difference.
If you've used Virtual PC you realize that you don't even know you are on a
MAC. It's a great combination.

I use both version 4 on my Mac's and when I turn it into a PC with Virtual
PC I use version 5 for windows.
Thr windows version of Insight works fine with Virtual PC but you need one
of the new Macs - a G3 or Imac - the more speed the faster it works. I use
a G3 with a speed of 266 Mz and responce is instant.
I prefer version 4 on the Mac however - mostly because the windows version
is changing constantly and I just don't have time to be learning the
different versions.
Insight 5 for the Mac is a dead issue as far as I know - never did work
properly.
