Ferenc,

Thank you for that information about the Data Logger. I have been asking =
around
for about five years how to link a Pyrometer to a Computer so that the time =
temp
graph can be plotted. Can you give any more details.

Regards,

Ivor Lewis

Ivor,
I'll get back to you on this one. I was all set to buy a kit for this before
we moved to Maldon from Melbourne (Coburg) and expenses were such I've put
it on hold.. It was at an electronics hobby shop, not Dick Smith, and I've
forgotten their name I think the kit cost about $500.00. I did the same
thing, (search for this sort of solution) I even approached software and
electronics engineers back in 8086 days but costs were prohibitive. As soon
as I dig out my info I'll e-mail.

Ivor,
The company where I tracked down the data logger was Jaycar Electronics. I'm
trying to find my old literature but if I can't I'll be going to Melbourne
in the School holidays (late June). I'll chase it up again.

Sorry I have not been following the thread. I built a rudimentary kiln
controller from some ideas in a Studio Potter ( I believe) and my Radio Shack
Color Computer. Never used it on a kiln, tested it with a soldering iron.

Anyhow Skutt Kilns had a computer hooked up to thier controller at the last
NCECA. Apparently thier new controllers only require a phone cord to make the
connection.
