I was incredibly lucky to acquire a used Shimpo Deairing Pug Mill,
model NVA15S, at a school surplus auction yesterday for an unbelievable
$50.00. I could use some info from knowledgeable persons:
The machine is set up as three phase 220, which I do not have at
the studio. My electrician offered to replace the motors so it can run
off one phase 220. Will this affect the performance of the machine
significantly? What suggestions would you make regarding such a refit?
The gasket for the vacuam chamber is damaged, and the push-arm
handle's knob is missing. Where can I order replacement parts?
There is damage to the clay-pushing lid assembly. Where it attaches
to the body, the cast aluminum "nub" is broken clear off. Will a
professional weld adequately repair this defect? I have local access to
a metal fabricating plant.
Thanks for your input.
