any wood kiln can have gas ports for prefiring.
purists of course frown on this....but, if you are
alone, and have little help...gas can be a savior.
it would be simple to block off the fire box with brick and
fire a wood kiln with gas....just plan the gas ports and stack
to accommodate it.
