acme marl shelves

I wonder if anyone can advise me on what thickness acme marl shelves to buy.=
I
fire an Olsen kiln with two stacks, and usually have three old Thorley =
mullite
shelves at the bottom supporting six advancer shelves per stack. My pots =
are
porcelain, and as I make a lot of dinnerware, I might have at most 12 plate
setters total in the entire kiln, otherwise my pots are pretty light. I am =
in
the process of replacing the old mullite shelves, and wonder if I need to =
buy
the one inch shelves. The weight is my only concern. I can't buy more
advancers just now, but I don't want to waste money by buying shelves that =
will
warp or break. The thick ones weigh almost as much as the Thorley. I would
appreciate any help you can give me. You can reply on or off the list. =
Thanks

Use 1" thick Acme Marls shelves. Their body formulation "REMCOR" is what is
currently being exported here to the US and is all you will ever need. They
are quite easy to move around, not heavy ( although not as light as
Advancers), and will provide years of trouble free service.
