For Veena,
I just moved my studio stuff from Japan to Colorado, and I used duct tape
successfully on all my glaze and slip containers. I just made sure the tape
covered not just where the lid meets the container, but covered some of the
lid and some of the container. Also, if you're really worried, you can seal
your duct-taped containers in ziploc bags.
Also, as L.P. Skeen mentioned, if you can evaporate some of the water off
before packing, this really helps. I also packed dry chunks of glazes in
ziploc bags, and this worked just fine.
