We finally have the new Bailey up and running. The extruder is terrific
and goes great with Diana's book. However, the instructions need work...
a lot of work. Those of you who use the 9" barrel with the expansion box
will probably know what I mean when I say that I was in awe when my clay
kept disappearing into the limited confines of the extruder barrel...
then when I tried to extrude the large die with the plunger, I was
triply surprised by the kerplunk! of the 25 lb (or more) VERY compressed
block of clay that landed very solidly on my new platform designed to
catch the extrusions. Wonder somebody wasn't hurt ... only because there
was no written warning of this startling event so I wasn't prepared. But
a lengthy (maybe an hour?) phone call with Bonnie, who also has the
Bailey, led to assurance and understanding and now I'm happy with all of
it... just need practice and more practice.

In the Mojave trying desperately to disguise her troll self on Clayart
so that her true self, or at least her more duplicitous/manipulative
side, won't be unveiled .... scrunching down trying to hide is out of
the question ... more truth to my latent troll qualities than fiction
.... shameful.....
