Subject: ?hot wax additives

This may have been mentioned before but it deserves to be said again.

Adding a Candle Dye to your wax to give it a bit of colour enables you =
to see where you have drawn the lines and it gives a clear indication =
when you are doing resist work. Should be available at all good craft =
stores.

I would not add Kero. The fumes would irritate my throat, nose and =
lungs. A vegetable oil can be added to decrease the melting point and =
make the wax flow better. As an alternative to Paraffin Wax, ask in the =
art stores for Microcrystalline Wax. This is used by the batik people =
and it also has a lower melting point. Bees Wax is good but can be =
sticky.

Lots of options on this one.
