Who will see my work?
On the AmericanStyle.com site retail consumers will view your work
(retail price range). On the NicheMag.com site qualified wholesale
buyers will view your work (wholesale price shown). Only qualified
wholesale buyers will see your studio contact information.
Your AmericanStyle.com page will refer customers to your selected
retail stores and galleries.
What comes with my FREE web page?
Your biography and background information, one photo and 5 gallery
referrals. Galleries will have access to your contact information from
the NicheMag.com site.
How will customers purchase my work?
The AmericanStyle.com site is designed to direct consumers to your
galleries and shops.
Can I have a link to my web page?
Not on the AmericanStyle.com part of the site.
You may show your company URL on "catalog pages" of the NicheMag.com
site. Remember though, all the images, keywords and text on your private
site is NOT included when visitors search.
How will customers search for my work?
Visitors may type in keywords describing work (Eg: glass goblets) or they
may click on a product list, or they may search by city, gallery or=20
artist name.
Consumers and wholesale buyers may also search by price!
Why should I consider "catalog pages"?
The more images you have on your web pages, the more likely customers
will see your work. All searches will find two types of results=8A=20
photos of work
and listings of artists and galleries providing the work in the=20
search description.
Visitors must click through the listings to locate possible sources.=20
Photos give
instant and visual results!
Why are my keywords important?
Keywords are the "bait" that brings customers to your page. Be sure to prov=

How do I make changes on my page?
We will provide you with a simple password accessible from your own computer=

Not to worry, our team of web content editors will review your changes and m=

Photo Quality=8A Are my slides good enough?
Resolution quality of photos on the web is less than in print or=20
projected environments.
Our editors will review all images for quality. Poor or dark images=20
will be removed

How will retailers order work?
The NicheMag.com site will provide restricted password access to=20
qualified retailers
who may contact you by email or fax.
Why will retailers visit NicheMag.com?
Retailers will register for the Buyers Markets, order Philly hotel=20
rooms, view exhibitor
lists and booth numbers, find new artists and work and utilize the=20
"message center"
for sending reorders to artists. Galleries will also submit changes=20
for their free web page.
Will galleries list me on their pages?
Invite galleries to provide a "reciprocal link" (You link to them-=20
if they link to you) opportunity.
Which retailers should I list on my page?
Try to list your "best" accounts=8A but also be careful to list stores=20
in different parts of the
country or heavily visited cities. In the summer you might list a=20
store in Maine=8A in the winter
list one in Florida!
May I list all of my retailers?
Yes, but only if you have a "Catalog" site with at least 6 photos.
How will my work be priced on the web?
You will submit your true wholesale price for the NicheMag.com=20
portion of the site.
AmericanStyle.com pages will feature a calculated "price range"=20
(2.3-2.7) An item priced
at $300 wholesale will appear as $690-810.
I don't have a computer! What now?
Use a friend's computer for visit the library. You can also ask a=20
friend (a teenager is best)
to make your additions and corrections =8Ajust follow these steps=8A
1. Type http://www.americanstyle.com into the address box of the browser.
2. Search for your web page.
3. Log-In with your password.
4. Make your corrections.
5. Push the "submit button" You're done!
How do I create web ready photos?
You can scan them ourself or ask Kinko's to do it for you. Specs=20
are: 72dpi, jpeg, rgb, 10k max.
Will the colors in my photos match?
Probably not. Each computer screen reproduces color differently.
