as the wheel turns

When we last left our drama, Jonathan received his
apology and informed us that he would continue to
read, but not write.
An embittered Janet gave us a long 'cheerio', but was
soon at the keyboard again.
Cindy promised she would give more consideration to
what she writes, and the 'law & order' types want the
Mayor and Police Chief to put the naughty boys in jail.
Really.

So, will the Chief have to hire a Deputy?
Will Tony really throw out his Glyde-torc for a kick wheel?
Will Elizabeth continue to receive hate mail?
Will lower-case melpots ever return?
Will we ever find a 'good cone 6 clear' glaze?
Who needs TV.

David's wonderful sense of humor defuses even the most
heated topics on Clayart.

THANK YOU DAVID for putting everything back into perspective....

Thank you so much David. I was in such turmoil not having any good =
soaps to watch here.
You know, when at 3.00pm you have the irresistable urge to be voyeur =
into someone's exciting life.
=20
Now that I can READ "As the Wheel turns", I think I can make it here in =
Scandihooligan land after all.
My life was so void and well now, well now, after the long quest for a =
good
cone six clear, well, I too have fallen and have had a taste of =
afternoon tenmoku.

Best regards,
Alisa in Denmark

David: You're stealing my role. The new Texan bad boy of clayart. I loved
your post. Laughed out loud. If the Mayor needs a bouncer I elect you.
You're relentless. Me, I've stopped cussing and my house wine is cream
soda.
As for the kick wheel- it is motorized!
Fight, big fighter, fight!!
cheers,
tony

Hi Hank,

Hope all is well with you and Bev.

It looks pretty certain that we are moving to Europe; Brussels to be
exact. We may be there until Rip retires, about 10 years. Obviously,
this means a big change for me as far as clay goes. Not sure how it
will all work out at this point. I've been for one quick visit and
amazingly found studio space... there was an article a few months ago
by a woman who lived in Brussels for a couple of years. I got in touch
with her and she put me in touch with the woman she rented space from.
It's more than I hoped for, actually larger than what I have now. I can
even have a gas kiln, which I didn't think would be possible. Wood
firing is less certain. If I can returm to the US periodically and make
pots, perhaps I can collect them for a wood firing. This may be a pipe
dream, but I'm not ready to give up my new kiln.

Mary Bowron called me recently to ask if I'd like to help with her wood
firing. I was too busy to help out and I haven't heard how it went yet.
Hope she's getting some good results.

Best wishes or perhaps I should say "Au revoir"

Ruth
