Dear Clayarters,
In moving my Skutt electric kiln yesterday, a chunk about 1"X2" chipped
from the upper rim exposing the electric coil. Any suggestions on repairing
this short of replacing the whole brick? Help!
Thanks to all for your most helpful postings in the past.
Sincerely,

Hi Janet,

I've used 2 kinds of kiln (refractory) cement for broken bricks and both
worked great;

Claymaker: 1240 No. 13th Street, San Jose, CA 95122 (408) 285-3352

and

Leslie's: 1212 San Pablo Ave., Berkeley, CA (510) 524-7363

Fixes broken stilts too.
