Mr Counts' book was bar none the best book on making pottery that
I had during my early years making pots. Before the proliferation
of good pottery books became available about 10 years ago. Now I have =
many, but none are as thorough and basic and free of ego as his. If the
man was as gentle and true as his book, it is a sad loss for the world =
indeed. If you ever run across it, do yourself a favor and snap it up.
